The beginning of the cup mark four single elimination, best of one qualification tournaments with up to 64 teams, held in the forthcoming weekends after new year. Until the cap is met, everybody is free to sign up in our GosuCup Forum. The registration system is split into two parts: One area will serve as a place for the publicly accessable registration; the second one marks a preferred registration, in which known teams without a wildcard, obtain a guaranteed spot in a qualifier of their choice (more information about the signups can be found in the GosuCup Rules: 4.1 and Registration Threads). Participants from North/South-America are only allowed to sign for qualifier #4, whereas the qualifiers 1-3 are only open for European contestants. The registration is only open for Europe and America; teams from other areas unfortunately won't have the opportunity to play this time. Runner up and Champion of each tournament will qualify for a 16 team groupstage.

Note: The distribution of the seeded teams into
the specific groups is displayed in a random order

Joining them in there will be the automatically seeded, seven best European/American teams in the GosuGamers Ranking and ROCCAT.Trust as the host. According to our chart, the wildcards go to DTS, NWO, LOST.eu, MYM, FEARZ, EDTN and TR/max1 (unconfirmed). The matches will be held best of two and scheduled in our GosuCup forum. Possible ties in the groupstage will be overcome by tiebreakers.

Groupstage II
Group AGroup B

This procedure repeats itself in a second Groupstage, in which the best two teams of each previous group get moved; again best of two with the same scheduling system. Timeframe for both groupstages is set at six weeks, starting in the beginning or February; each team will have to play one bo2 matchup per week. Awaiting the remaining four after these two phases are the finals on the eleventh and last weekend of the Cup. Those are structured as best of three single elimination Semifinals and best of five Grand Finals on Saturday and Sunday.

The participants are in for 1.500 EUR prize money, split into 1.000 EUR for the winner and 500 EUR for the runner up. The GosuCup Forum is from now on open and publicly accessable and contains ruleset and registration threads. It is encouraged and appreciated to read and review these once in a while; possible changes will be announced in the context of our coverage. The GosuCup administration staff is of course available for support requests as well.

The qualifiers of the event will get streamed partially,
the groupstages and finals fully either via Garena or
WaaaghTV; Gosubets and Replays are soon to expect.
GosuGamers and ROCCAT want to wish all participating
teams good luck and a great and fair competition!
