Uprise Champions Cup Season 4 participants announced

Uprise Champions Cup Season 4 participants have been revealed.

As a reminder, season number four of the Uprise Champions Cup is upon us, with sixteen of Europe's finest teams participating in a bid to secure a portion of the $40,000 prize pool. The tournament will be divided into three stages: First group stage, Second group stage and the Final bracket.

The first group stage will take place from 13th March to 15th April 2016, adhereing to the GSL system, where four groups of four teams will be playing exclusively best-of-three matches against each other in an attempt to secure one of the two qualifiers slots for the second group stage.

The second group stage will be round robin, with all matches best-of-threes. Two groups of four teams will participate, fighting for one of three qualifying spots for the final bracket.

The final bracket will feature six teams, two of which immediately proceed to the first round of the upper bracket (winners of 1st places in the second group stage) and four teams that managed to secure 2nd and 3rd places in the second group stage. All matches will be best-of-three, excluding the grand final, which will be best-of-five with a single map advantage in favour of the team that emerged from the upper bracket victorious.

2nd place - $10,000
3rd-4th place - $2,500
