The CIS shoot-off took place as the second quarter finals of the day at Counter Pit S2. It was to be seen whether FlipSid3 could sustain the heavy fire by their domestic rivals.

As Na'Vi removed Cache and Cobblestone and FlipSid3 removed Dust2 and Inferno, the match was set to be played out on Train, Overpass and Mirage.

Natus Vincere started off strong by rushing onto the B bombsite and getting the aim duels right against their CT opponents. Despite Yegor "markeloff" Markelov trying in the end, they succeeded and even after the sick double kill by said player at Ivy, Na'Vi eventually piled through and got the second as well as the third round. In the first gun round then they tried to challenge markeloff at Ivy again, but got shut down without taking out any enemies. Their earlier peformance however justified a rather strong force buy and even with a 2v4 disadvantage in the post-plant situation on B, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács simply went stellar to take over the round with seeming ease. In the following round F3 were forced to eco and let their enemies survive with three members. An unbelievable clutch by Denis "seized" Kostin and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev put them on a 7-2 lead as terrorists already. Their dominance continued until F3 managed to cut it off at 9-3 and even went further in taking the remaining rounds until half time.

The 9-6 for Natus Vincere, who were now starting on the CT side, of course would heavily favor them since the map is fairly CT-sided. And just as predicted, the half was pretty one-sided. F3 managed to get two rounds but eventually Na'Vi ran towards a 14-8. FlipSid3 could not get more than two rounds until Natus Vincere closed the first map out in a 16-10 fashion.

FlipSid3 were now in dire straits as they had to win this map to survive, but considering the performances their opponents had on this map as of late this surely was not set to be an easy task.

As Na'Vi acquired the first pistol round, F3 however was quick to respond in taking over the second one and got themselves to 2-1 as they got their anti-eco right. Following some server issues and disconnects the score stood still at 3-2 in favor of FlipSid3.ESP. In the following gun round they were able to bring the bomb down on B and forced the remaining Na'Vi players to go save. Over the next rounds FlipSid3 simply dominated their domestic rivals and always forced the remainders to back off in order to at least save the AWP. Na'Vi were unable to answer as F3 brought it to 2-8 when they finally called for a pause to discuss their issues. Immediately after, they were able to get a round due to great positional play from Daniil "Zeus" Teslenko. But there was not much to follow really, as FlipSid3 nonetheless acquired another three rounds to make it a 11-4 half.

Already at the start, Natus Vincere were faced with enourmous aggression from the CTs but nonetheless prevailed, taking the second pistol round and hopefully looking forward to getting some easier rounds now. But the safety of the gun advantage may have mislead them as FlipSid3 managed to take them down to one man with just their force-buy and though GuardiaN made it tense, in the end they sat on yet another round win and also took over the following one. Crazy plays by GuardiaN led to Na'Vi at least getting another two round but the score eventually sat on 14-7. As they tried to enter the A bombsite F3 held sway and brought it to map point for themselves with Natus Vincere having to force-buy. This nonetheless did not stop them from getting another two rounds until a proper gun round brought them to their knees and FlipSid3 ended it on a 16-9 score board.

The casters pointed out that Yegor "flamie" Vasiliev was not performing at all and since being historically strong on this map, FlipSid3 could actually make the ultimate upset in taking the third best team out of this tournament that early already.

Natus Vincere swiftly took over the pistol round and this time did not gift the following rounds away, but in the first gun round they had to make place for a strong FlipSid3. This did however not hold for long as Na'Vi answered back pretty swiftly and brought it to 7-1 until F3 intercepted to finally get themselves another round. In only getting two additional rounds to count to that, they made it possible for Natus Vincere to end the first half 11-4.

Until the first gun round, FlipSid3 were unable to make anything happen again, as GuardiaN almost delivered the perfect clutch but George "WorldEdit" Yaskin prevailed, making it 14-5. Despite Na'Vi getting yet another round their opponents remained focused to hold it at map point. Unfortunately they did not deliver in that endeavour, as three members of Na'Vi survived to make it 16-6.
