The European and North American placement tournaments for the CEVO Gfinity CS:GO Pro-League Season 9 have concluded, with four teams finalising the groups for the upcoming Online brackets.

The EU and NA placement tournaments for the upcoming CEVO Gfinity CS:GO Pro-League Season 9 have concluded, finalising the groups going into the event. Two teams from each region have surpassed their opponents, landing them the qualifying spots for the recently announced $125,000 tournament.

Europe

CringeGods, a Swedish representative, managed to rather convincingly fight their way through the placement tournaments, beating all their opponents with a 2:0 map score, excluding ENCE. where the Finnish roster managed to snatch a single map off the Swedes. Coincidentally, ENCE were the second team to qualify for the CEVO Gfinity CS:GO Pro-League Season 9.

ENCE, as mentioned before, were knocked out by CringeGods during the upper bracket qualification round, placing them in the lower bracket qualification round against DenDD. The Finnish team went on to win over the Swedes in a 2:1 map score, securing a spot at the forthcoming event.

North America

VAULT was the team that managed to surpass all opponents, passing through the upper bracket qualifiers. On two occasions, the roster won with a 2:0 map lead, on the other two they gave up a single map with 2:1. Bees Money Cr were the other contender for the qualifying spot, however they were knocked out right at the end, sinking to the lower bracket qualifier round.

Team ex-AA entered the lower bracket during its second round, after being pushed out by Quetzal. The team went on to win all best-of-one matches they played in the lower bracket, where they met aforementioned Bees Money Cr, who the successfully bested and proceeded to qualify for the CEVO Gfinity CS:GO Pro-League Season 9.

The aforementioned four teams will proceed to the Online single elimination brackets for each region, where it will be decided if they end up participating at the main event. As a quick refresher on the LAN Event, it will be held at the Gfinity Arena in London, UK on 28th of April through May 1st, boasting an increased prize pool of $125,000.
