With the completion of the online qualifiers, the PGL Minor will be heading into the offline tournament with a $50,000 prize pool and a spot in the offline qualifier for MLG Columbus on the line.
PGL has announced the dates for their upcoming PGL Regional Minor Championship today. The event, to be hosted at PGL's new studio, will take place from January 29-31st in Bucharest, Romania and will feature a double-elimination group stage followed by a single-elimination bracket.
Hundreds of teams had registered for the online qualifiers, but only eight teams mananged to come out on top securing their spot in PGL's event. A share of the $50,000 prize pool, along with a spot at the offline qualifier for 2016's first Major, MLG Columbus, is on the line.
The event will feature casting duo Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett and Henry "HenryG" Greer as commentators, along with Richard Lewis and Joona "Natu" Leppänen on the analysis desk. More personalities will be announced closer to the event, according to a statement issued by PGL.
