PGL have announced the start of their European regional minor championship.
PGL will be broadcasting the semi-finals of their offline playoffs qualifiers Janruary 6-9th. A total of eight matches, all of which will be in the best-of-three format, will be broadcast in the space of four days on PGL’s Twitch.tv channel. Casting the aforementioned semi-finals will be none other than Matthew ‘’Sadokist’’ Trivett and Henry ‘’HenryG’’ Greer, a duo previously seen at past PGL events.
Prize money distribution for the Minor:
1st place - $30,000 + spot in the offline qualifier for MLG Columbus 2016
2nd place - $15,000
3rd and 4th place - $2,500
Following is the schedule for the semi-finals:
January 6th - 1st qualifier
Semifinal #1 - 18:00 CET
Semifinal #2 - 21:00 CET (or straight after the conclusion of SF #1)
January 7th - 2nd qualifier
Semifinal #3 - 18:00 CET
Semifinal #4 - 21:00 CET (or straight after the conclusion of SF #3)
January 8th - 3rd qualifier
Semifinal #5 - 18:00 CET
Semifinal #6 - 21:00 CET (or straight after the conclusion of SF #5)
January 9th - 4th qualifier
Semifinal #7 - 18:00 CET
Semifinal #8 - 21:00 CET (or straight after the conclusion of SF #7)
Teams that are victorious in the semifinals will be travelling to Bucharest, Romania for the offline playoffs that will be taking place January 29-31st at the brand new PGL studios. The finalist will receive $30,000 in prize money, as well as a spot in the offline qualifier for the upcoming major, MLG Columbus 2016.
