The second semi-finals featured Natus Vincere and Team Liquid fighting it out in a best-of-three series. The first map was Team Liquid's pick, de_cobblestone. Unfortunately for the American team, it turned out to be a frag fest for the Ukranians as they just snowballed through it, leaving Team Liquid behind with only seven rounds. Having a very strong CT side of 11-4, Team Liquid allowed Na'Vi to play around with their economy in the second half closing it out with a 16-7 win.
The second map was the better one to watch, witnessing a real battle of two giants. Team Liquid put a really good fight against the last major finalist, and they almost managed to make it to the third map. But, due to the lack of experience or confidence, Team Liquid managed to give away a 14-7 lead and to lose this map with 14-16. The turning point for the Ukranian team was when Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev handled to clutch a 1vs3 situation, securing their 8th ct round and putting his team right back into the game.
