Cloud9 take the RGN pro series title 2-0 over Renegades.
Last night we witnessed the epic conclusion of the RGN Pro series, where the 8 teams that made it to the playoffs fought for their share of the prize pool. The matches themselves were fairly close with no major blowouts. However at the end of the day Cloud9 took the title as well as the largest share of the prize money.
The tournament began with no major upsets, as all of the big teams survived into the next stage of the upper bracket with the losing teams being knocked down to the lower bracket. The next stage of the upper bracket went the way of Cloud9 and Team Liquid who faced each other in the following match, which went the way of Cloud9 in a 2-1 scoreline. However the tourney had not yet ended as the Renegades managed to fight their way through the lower bracket and managed to take down Team Liquid in a convincing 2-0 victory. Beating Liquid gave the Renegades a place in the finals and they went at Cloud9 In hopes of taking the title. However their efforts were in vain as Cloud9 defeated them 2-0, closing out the tournament and taking home the title for themselves.
