The second day of RGN Pro Series has concluded, four teams proceed to the upper-bracket semi-finals.
First up were Renegades vs. Winterfox, where the Australians managed to overpower the North American team with a two map lead. 16-8 on de_cobblestone and 16-14 on de_mirage. Overall a good performance by the Aussies, definately looking forward to them playing in the semi-finals.
Next up was Cloud9 vs. Games Academy. This matchup was definately closer than it perhaps should have been, with Cloud9 winning over in the end with a 2-1 map score. GA took the first map, de_dust2, with a 16-14 score. On de_cobblestone Cloud9 really showed their colours by hanging in the game on the opponents match point, took the match to overtime and ultimately won 19-16. As for the last map, de_cache, Cloud9 took early rounds and despite GA's late-game attempt at a comeback, C9 won 16-14.
The third series was Luminosity Gaming vs. Enemy, where Luminosity showed a mixed performance on their first map and demolished their enemy on the second. Starting off was de_mirage, where both teams showed up and it wasn't quite apparent who would take it away. The match went on to overtime, where the Brazilians finally managed to secure the map at 19-17. On the second map, de_train, we saw LG wipe the floor with Enemy in a 16-3 stomp.
Last match of the day saw Team Liquid destroy Method 16-3 on de_cache and 16-9 on de_inferno.
