The North American teams have proven their supremacy once again. Following Cloud9's success during the first day of DH Stockholm, CLG has now respectively topped their group, which boosted the number of North American teams at the next major.
The second day started with the match between FlipSid3 and CPH Wolves. What was supposed to be a very close battle turned out to be a one-sided match, with the Ukranian team dominating in every aspect of the game. CPH Wolves had no answer to the slow paced game of FlipSid3 which was demonstatred in a 16-1 loss on de_train. In the second opening match of this group we saw CLG taking on Lounge. The North American team was a clear favourite here, but the Polish squad put up an impressive fight, winning the first map and being on par in the second one as well. However, experience prevailed and CLG moved on to the winners match.
In the winners match we saw a totally different FlipSid3, not even close to the one which played against CPH Wolves just an hour before. Although the first map score was close, CLG was more on point and deservedly earned a spot at the next major, following their 2-0 win over FlipSid3. The elimination match featured Lounge and CPH Wolves in one very interesting match where we saw both teams scoring one map each with 16-14 score, but when the final map came the Polish team was totally absent from the game. The Norwegian team took a very convincing 16-1 win and kept themselves still in the running for the second spot of this group.
