The North American team Cloud9 showed a very dominant performance, defeating all opponents with 2-0 and topping their group which awarded them a spot at the next major.

The first day of DreamHack Stockholm featured matches of group A. DreamHack Stockholm is acting as offline qualifier for DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, which is the next major, so there is a lot of on the stake.
Group A saw Cloud9, MIXCAT, Team Immunity and Team Dignitas fighting for the top two spots which lead to the next major. The show started with North American team taking on the Finnish mix. Cloud9 struggled a bit on de_dust2, where in the end they took a 16-14 win. However, on Cloud9's signature map, de_cache, their superiority came to expression, winning it 16-8. In the second opening match of this group, we saw Australian contender, Team Immunity, taking on a very strong Danish team Dignitas. The Danes were favourites coming to this match and they proved it by an easy 2-0, with 16-5 and 16-12 in maps.
In the qualifying match Cloud9 showed no mercy against Dignitas, winning 2-0. The Danes showed some resistance on the first map, which was de_inferno, where they managed to collect twelve rounds. However, on the second map Cloud9 didn't allow them to pass the sixth mark. In the eliminating match Immunity defeated Finnish team 2-0 and sent them packing home. The Australian team will have another chance to grab the spot at DH Cluj-Napoca in a best-of-three duel against Team Dignitas.
