DH Cluj-Napoca to be next major
Valve and Dreamhack have revealed that they have partnered to bring the final CS:GO major of this year to DH Cluj-Napoca in Romania. The event, spanning over four days, will be played almost entirely on the main stage, with sixteen teams fighting for a piece of the customary $250,000 prize pool. In terms of production, DH has partnered with PGL to handle production, something the company is well known for in their own events. Dreamhack's Tomas Lyckedal and PGL's Silviu Stroie had the following to say about event:
“We’re thrilled to bring a CS:GO Major to DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, as we’ll have the chance to create a 4-day stage show in front of the amazing Romanian eSports fans, as well as attract fans worldwide. Together with our partner PGL, we have the possibility to create the most unique media production, and ultimately the most memorable event in CS:GO ever.”TSM on to PGL finals
The Danish superstar team defeated Team Kinguin at the PGL S1 last chance qualifier tournament this week in order to secure a seat at the offline finals. The final match, a B03 series on de_train, de_dust2, and de_mirage, was one of the closely contested finals in recent memory. Check out the full recap to see a map-by-map rundown of the series.
villiG caught cheating in DH qualifier
Viliam “villiG” Andrascik has banned by FACEIT this week after using cheats during NerdRage's Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca qualifying match against PiTER. The player immediately denied using the cheats, although he did not refute the fact that he had installed the program on his computer. NerdRage immediately dropped the player from the roster, and will be returning their prize winnings.
CLG take WinOut CS:GO Championship
CLG won WinOut CS:GO Championship this week after beating Luminosity in a 2:1 series to win the $10,000 first place prize. The team had a dominating performance on their two map wins on de_overpass and de_cobble with scores of 16:6 and 16:1 respectivly.

Chinese CS:GO team QeeYou has cleared the Asian DH Cluj-Napoca prequalifier by making heir way past two hundred and fifty six team. The team will now move on to the Stockholm qualifer, where they will compete against other international teams to try to get a spot at the major at the end of this year.
