Mousesports became the ESL Sommermeisterschaft champions after defeating their compatriots, PENTA Sports, in the grand final.
The ESL Sommermeisterschaft LAN finals featured four teams after a lengthy online phase. The event started with five different online qualifiers that were followed by the group stage also played online. The four sides featured in the LAN event were: Mousesports, PENTA, uX and Planetkey Dynamics.
The semi-final matches were both won by the favourites, however, Mousesports had problems defeating the Planetkey team, dropping the first map de_cache 11:16 and winning the remaining two being de_dust2 and de_cobblestone, 16:5 and 19:15 respectivly. PENTA, on the other hand managed a clean sweap uX comfortably winning both, de_inferno 16:7 and de_cache 16:6 for a 2:0 scoreline.
The grand final featured PENTA and Mousesports with the latter being the favourite team to take the series. We were presented a very convincing game by Mousesports who made both the maps look very one sided taking the whole series 2:0 winning de_cache and de_overpass, both, with 16:4 scorelines.
