The Brazilian team has managed to overcome all of their North American opponents and have claimed the title of IBP Invitational Summer.
iBUYPOWER Invitational Summer was the second edition of this event ran for the North American teams. This time, the teams met up to fight for the share of $10,000. We saw the biggest names of the North American scene meeting up and testing out their strength against each other.
However, none of the North American teams have managed to claim the title. Instead, a team from South America has dominated and knocked out all of their northern opponents. Keyd Stars started their run against eLevate. They had a perfect 2-0 here with 16-13 and 16-10 by maps. The next in line was Luminosity Gaming. It turned out that LG was the only team which could actually steal one map away from the Brazilians. Keyd was down one map and yet they came back to win 2-1 and move on to the finals. In the finals, they met a very good squad in the form of Liquid. However, Liquid had no answers to the perfect play of FalleN and co., as they were soundly beaten 2-0 as well.
