The group stage of RGN Pro Series for European division has concluded and the top eight teams are now moving on to the playoffs.
After a very intense group stage the top eight teams have now been determined for the next stage. The most action was seen in group C where the teams were forced to play a tiebreaker to determine the top two seeds as they were tied after the first initial matches.
The top two finishers of each group are now being moved on to the double elimination bracket which will be using a best-of-three format. The first match of the playoffs have already been played. LGB eSports managed to win 2-0 against 1337 and to send them down to the lower bracket.
The next match of the playoffs is scheduled for today and it will start at 20.00 CEST. The Polish team Gamers2 will take on the Turkish representative Space Soldiers. You can find more information about this match on this link.
Finally, the prize pool of the European division is set to $10,000, where the winning side will take $7,000. But, the more important note is that the top five teams of the playoffs will move on to the new Championship which will feature the top five teams both from Europe and North America who will then have a chance to fight for the lion's share of $30,000.
