The German squad has added the last piece to their lineup by poaching crisby from fellow German team myKPV.

PENTA had been searching for a new fifth ever since the departure of Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert, who announced his retirement from competitive Counter-Strike last week. Filling the void left by Troubley is another mainstay in the German scene, Christian "crisby" Schmitt.

Having played for both mousesports and Alternate in the past, Schmitt is no stranger to the upper echelon of CS:GO. Crisby was only a part of myKPV for two weeks before he received a better offer from PENTA.

After the high of finishing top 8 at Dreamhack Winter 2014, PENTA has had more downs than ups during the last six months. An underwhelming string of performances and a number of roster changes has left Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend and his crew searching for some stability. The hope is that crisby will finally provide that stable presence which will allow PENTA to end their slumping ways, as they currently sit near the bottom of the standings of both CEVO Professional and the ESL ESEA Pro League.

Crisby on his big move:

“I would like to thank KPV and the team for the short but wonderful time. I wish them all the best in the future. I am sorry to the team for the short stay, but the offer I received was too tempting. With PENTA I get the opportunity to play against the best in the world, which is the most important thing to me. I look forward to playing with my new teammates and would like to thank the sponsors.”

PENTA now has the following lineup:
Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend
Dimitrios "stavros" Smoilis
Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff
Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz
Christian "crisby" Schmitt
