LGB and FlipSid3 secured their tickets for DH Summer

FlipSid3 Tactics and LGB eSports topped the online qualifier for DreamHack Open Summer.
The closed qualifier for DreamHack Summer was held during the last weekend where the eight teams were battling it out for the two spots leading to the main event. The first round of the bracket didn't bring any surprises as we saw the favourites moving on to the finals.
In the qualifying matches we saw FlipSid3 Tactics taking on Team Dignitas and LGB eSports fighting against HellRaisers. Both the matches featured a best-of-five series which was really interesting to watch.
The first match was totally one sided as FlipSid3 allowed Dignitas to take only 11 rounds in the first two maps, the same number which they have won in the third one. The Ukranian team was better at de_inferno 16-4, de_cobblestone 16-7 and de_cache 16-11. However, the second qualiying match featured a real thriller as we saw all five maps being played out. Although the Norwegian team was using a two stand-ins for this qualifier they still managed to upset HellRaisers and take a 3-2 win. The first map, de_overpass went to HellRaisers with 16-13, but LGB made it 1-1 following their win at de_cache 16-12. The third map which was de_dust2 was the most exciting one as we saw the overtime being played where HR came out on the top of it for 2-1. The last two maps, de_mirage and de_inferno, went towards LGB's direction with 16-12 and 16-7 respectively, for the final score of 3-2 and the spot at DH Summer main event.
DreamHack have already revealed the names of the invited teams for their upcoming event. The two Swedish teams, Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas were directly invited together with Natus Vincere and Titan. Those four teams are now joint by LGB eSports and FlipSid3 who have topped the online qualifier where the last two spots will be filled in with the teams coming from the offline BYOC qualifier which is being held prior to the event.
