Ninjas in Pyjamas have qualified for the PGL CCS LAN tournament at DreamHack Bucharest following a 3-1 victory over Fnatic.

The first map of the BO5 qualifying match was de_inferno, where NiP managed to clinch the pistol round as well as 2 more following rounds to make it 3-0 on their CT side. However, when it came down to the first gun round Fnatic were able to crush NiP, winning 3 rounds of their own at tie point 3-3. However, another victory by the NiP side forced Fnatic into an eco round, which NiP took easily. It was full speed ahead for GeT_RiGhT and co. as they completely destroyed Fnatic's pushes, however, they still managed to bring it back relatively close to a 9-6 scoreline. The second half saw NiP take another pistol round, later just snowballing round after round, bringing it to 15-7. Despite Fnatic's best attempts to comeback, they eventually choked at the end at 16-13.
Next up was de_inferno, as Fnatic took complete control of the match on their T side. Winning the pistol round, Fnatic simply destroyed all of NiP's defences with convincing fakes and raw aim. In the end, they finished the first half 13-2, after keeping NiP's economy incredibly low. The second half saw NiP picking up the pistol round as well as 2 more anti-eco rounds, seeming to begin to mount a comeback. However, it was all for nothing at the end as Fnatic pulled through, winning 16-11.
de_cache saw Fnatic picking up the pistol round as well as a couple following rounds, making it 4-0. However, NiP quickly retaliated, stringing together round after round, eventually bringing it incredibly close at 8-7 to end the half, still in favour of Fnatic. In the second half, NiP easily took the lead by winning the pistol round as well as two more anti-eco rounds, creating a strong economy along the way thanks to their MP7 buys. When it came down to Fnatic's buy round, NiP were able to secure that one as well, mostly because of a great triple kill by friberg using his MP7. The score was 8-10 now in favour of the Ninjas, as Fnatic were forced into anthoer eco round. This was no problem for NiP, as they quickly brought it to 11-8. On the 20th round, Fnatic were able to clinch a buy round with only one member left alive, however, they were not able make a complete comeback as NiP took it 16-10.
The fourth map of the BO5 match was de_mirage, where NiP took a swift lead by securing the pistol round as well as two more anti-eco rounds. However, Fnatic were able to quickly comeback and take the lead with some great plays by pronax on B bombsite, making it 5-4. On the 10th round, NiP were able to capitalize on a man advantage and win an eco round, and eventually making it 7-5. Fnatic were able to secure two rounds of their own, but failed to secure the final round as the Ninjas won the half 8-7 on their T side. The second pistol round saw GeT_RiGhT getting a great 2k using his dual berettas under balcony, helping his team win another pistol round. Fnatic decided to force up, this time with no avail as NiP just tore through them with their MP7s. NiP just kept stringing together round after round, and eventually brought it to 13-7. This time, Fnatic had enough money for a double-AWP setup and AKs for everyone, as they were able to push the A bombsite with success. However, they were unable to get anymore as NiP just went full speed ahead, winning 16-8.
NiP have now qualified for the upcoming PGL CCS LAN at DreamHack Bucharest on April 24-26, while Fnatic will have one more chance to qualify by going through a lower bracket featuring Virtus.pro, FlipSid3 Tactics, Na'Vi, and PENTA Sports.
