Gfinity has revealed its partnership with Vue International Entertainment to build the first eSport arena in the United Kingdom.

Gfinity has announced plans to transform the current Vue cinema on Fulham Broadway in London into the first eSports arena in the United Kingdom. Three custom-built stages will display games from Activision, Blizzard, Valve, Riot and others throughout the year, according to a statement from Gfinity.

The new Gfinity Arena will have a seating capacity of 600 spectators and will be located within minutes of the Fulham Broadway tube station, making transport to and from the arena easy for fans and participating teams alike.

Gfinity state that this partnership with Vue could potentially open up possibilities of seeing large events at other Vue locations across the UK and in cities across the world:

“Our partnership with Vue has other major perks for you as well. We'll now be able to explore the opportunity to host events at their venues around the UK and in cities across the world, bringing the Gfinity experience to you, wherever you are. We have thought of you ever step of the way as we looked to deliver something that ticked every box; with our new arena and partnership with Vue, we've done just that.”

The organisation will be looking to build on the success of Gfinity 3 from last August which was held at the Olympic Park in London. Virtus.pro came out on top of that event, winning the $20,000 first-place prize.

The opening of the Gfinity Arena is perfectly timed for Gfinity's first CS: GO event of 2015, the CS: GO Spring Masters 1 which is to take place the weekend following ESL One Katowice from March 21-22 with a $20,000 prize pool.
