G2A Cup hosted by FACE IT is getting into the final stage. Team LDLC is the first grand finalist, the second one will be determined later tonight.

G2A Cup, hosted by FACE IT, featured the eight European teams fighting for a cut of the $10,000 prize pot. In the first semi final match last night we could see DreamHack Winter champions, Team LDLC, in action against the new mousesports' line-up. The French team didn't allow for any surprises, winning convincingly with a 3-0 match score.

The first map was on de_inferno, one of Team LDLC's statistically the best maps. Although mousesports started on the more favored CT side, they couldn't put up much resistance, finishing the first half with 8-7. Giving seven rounds to a team like LDLC while on CT side was a lot and Happy and co. promptly closed the map 16-12. The next map was played on de_dust2, where the teams were placed on the same sides, mousesports started on CT and LDLC on T side. This time the French team won the first half with 8-7, and the map 16-11. The third map was one of the mousesports' favourites, de_overpass. However, the Germans were heavily beat, losing 16-4.

The second semi final, which is scheduled to start tonight at 21.00 CET, will feature dAT Team and HellRaisers. Although the performance numbers are a bit skewed here (dAT is at 172nd place in our rankings database, while the HellRaisers are ranked 10th) this match is still going to be a very interesting one. dAT Team's Dauren 'AdreN' Kystaubayev will play against his old teammates in HellRaisers, so at least from the tactical approach there shouldn't be many secrets for any of those teams, since they know each other very well.
