After two days of competition, dAT Team are crowned champions of MCS Open Season 1 and will go home $5,000 richer.
The premier season of MCS was held during the last two days at Moscow Cyber Stadium. A total of 32 teams were vying for a cut of the $10,000 prize pool. In the first semi final match, dAT Team had no trouble with kibaken's mixed team, named Comeback, as they grabbed a first spot in the grand finals with an easy 2-0 victory over them. The second semi final match was a bit more interesting since the match between 97club and ACES went into three maps, where the Russian team came on the top with 2-1 match score to reach the grand finals.
Coming to this tournament as a main favourites, dAT Team didn't find much resistance from ACES in the final match. The Ukrainian squad knocked down the Russians in the first map with the score of 16-6 on de_inferno, and followed it up with an even more convincing performance by winning 16-3 on de_nuke.
