Teams like Heroic, BIG and Astralis will be participating in the short but intense competition for the $250,000 prize pool.

Eight teams will be competing in the first ever Pinnacle Cup Championship where top teams will be competing for a slice of the $250,000 prize pool. Set to run from 8-11 June, the competition is held in Lund, Sweden in front of a live audience at the Sparbanken Skåne Arena.

The eight teams that will be playing are:

  • Evil Geniuses
  • Fnatic
  • Imperial Esports

Team Finest

All of the teams are invited, save for Team Finest who was the winner of Pinnacle Cup IV.

Competition format

The Pinnacle Cup Championship will follow a typical group stage/playoffs format that has been in use in many tournaments before.

Group stage

  • 8 teams separated into two four-team double-elimination format (GSL) groups
  • Opening matches are Bo1
  • All following matches are Bo3
  • Group stage winners advances to the Upper Bracket
  • Group stage runners-up advances to the Lower Bracket

Playoffs

  • Double Elimination bracket
  • All matches are Bo3
