The broadcast team for ELEAGUE's Clash for Cash includes our favorite Aussie, Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill and more.
In less that a week, on June 16th, ELEAGUE will return to their home turf of CS:GO and host the ultimate show match. The two grand finalists of the previous ELEAGUE Major, Astralis and Virtus.pro will battle it out once again for glory, closure, bragging rights and a $250,000 prize. The one-day event will take place at the GFuel ELEAGUE studio and will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube.
To take you back to the grand finals of the ELEAGUE Major, we saw a fantastic best-of-three series that saw every map played to its fullest, with the Danes of Astralis securing their first ever Major Championship title at the expense of the Poles. The teams initially clashed on de_Nuke, where Virtus.pro managed to take care of business at a strong 16:12 finish. De_Overpass was next, where Astralis managed to pull themselves out of a 13:14 deficit, clocking in three consecutive rounds to equalise the map score at 1-1. Culminating the nail-biting series was de_Train, where once things were looking mighty fine for the Poles, all throughout the series, with the Danish squad biting back last-minute to close out the series, coming back from a 12:14 deficit and subsequently securing the most coveted title a CS;GO roster can achieve, as well as pocketing a whopping $500,000 in prize money.
The show match will be absolutely explosive, as Virtus.pro more than likely still have a bitter aftertaste following their close loss, all the while the Danes need to prove their consistency and reinstate their Champions' title.
