The North American closed qualifier for DreamHack Austin will commence tonight, deciding the teams to advance to the LAN finals of the tournament.

The final qualifiers stage for both the European and North American regions for DreamHack Open Austin 2017 is nigh, with two teams from each region to secure placement at the LAN finals, held in Texas, Austin, United States. Eight teams from the region will fight in best-of-three match-ups to determine the sole team to secure travel to the Southern state and compete for a whopping $100,000 prize pool, coupled with the Champions' bragging rights. 

Luminosity Gaming, Selfless Gaming, Team Rush and eUnited are the four teams to advance from the open qualifiers. The contenders were able to bypass teams such as Denial eSports, Team Dignitas Female and Splyce in order to secure their spot amongst the invited teams.

Following are the eight teams competing for the single spot at the LAN finals:
