GODSENT are crowned Champions of the PGL European Minor Championship after defeating HellRaisers 2:1 in the Grand final.

After having lost to HellRaisers in the winners' bracket, GODSENT have persevered through the losers' final, winning over Epsilon eSports, then went on to beat the very team that placed them there. The best-of-three series saw all three maps played out with all of them reaching double digits for both teams. Ultimately the Swedish roster of GODSENT was able to come out on top, securing $30,000 in prize pool money, as well as a placement at the ELEAGUE Major 2017 major qualifier. Mousesports will have to do with $15,000 in prize money; however the European mix has, perhaps more importantly, secured their placement in the major qualifier.

The losers' round saw quite a comprehensive victory from the Swedes of Epsilon eSports, where they managed to deal with Space Soldiers in the space of two maps. Both maps went to double digits for both teams which made the matches ever so interesting to watch. The teams kicked off on de_Cache, where seemingly neither team was able to dash ahead with a surplus. A tame performance from both sides lead to a 8:7 score in favour of Epsilon's T side. Having switched to the CTs, the Swedes came up with a plan that was very apparently well-executed, as the team gave up but three rounds to the Turks. A solid defence from Epsilon scored them the map at an 8:3 second half with a 16:10 culmination.

De_Dust2 saw a very similar half to the first of Cache, where neither team had a significantly superior performance, all rather tame. The initial fifteen rounds were a grind, with Epsilon repeating their slight lead, much like the former half of the previous map. Almost a complete reproduction in terms of score; however this time Space Soldiers were able to secure an additional two in comparison. Epsilon eSports knock the Turks out of the race at a 16:12 score line, proceeding to face fellow countrymen, GODSENT.

Considering how close the previous encounter was with these teams, it was impossible to predict who would come out on top. This particular match was crucial as it would decide which team takes a shot at the major qualifier for the ELEAGUE Major 2017 main qualifiers. GODSENT concede the first map in extremely close manner. The initial half saw a lacklustre performance from the team, where they were seemingly unable to proceed onto bombsites as the terrorists. Consistently shut down, GODSENT were able to secure but five rounds to Epsilon's ten. Having switched over to the CTs, the team felt significantly more comfortable, unfortunately for them it came down to a single round that cost them the map. Epsilon had accumulated a sufficient lead, allowing them to just about take the map at 16:14.

Next was de_Cache, where we saw a very close initial half, followed by a dominant second half from the Swedes of GODSENT. On the CT side the team was able to amass a small lead in the form of a single round - not a game changer; however in close matches it can definitely make a difference. The rather slow initial half was a complete opposite of the second. On the aggressive, GODSENT were able to consistently outperform their rivaling countrymen, which meant that the series would go to a third map. 8:4 in favour of GODSENT, ultimately a 16:11 finish.

Closing out the series was Cobblestone, where GODSENT, contrary to previous maps, showed a dominant performance throughout. Kicking off on the T side the Swedes had a great streak of rounds. Communication coupled with incredible fragging power allowed for consistent site advances and bomb plants. The domination caused a 10:5 half in favour of GODSENT, placing Epsilon eSports in quite the pickle. Things were not to go in the way of Epsilon, as the team struggled to make anything of their T half on Cobble. Two rounds went in their favour, but ultimately GODSENT were able to persevere, knocking their countrymen out of the race for a qualifier spot as well as dispelling any hopes at either $15,000 or $30,000 in prize money. 16:7 in favour of GODSENT, advancing to face a team sent them into the losers' bracket - Hellraisers.

The Grand final of the EU Minor Championship saw three maps where the winner was undecided right until the very last rounds of the three maps. First off was de_Cobblestone, where the European mix managed to take it away at the very last moment. The initial half was slow paced, with neither team coming up with awesome results. GODSENT pull slightly ahead at 8:7 on their CT side. HellRaisers come up with a solid CT side performance after switching sides. The European mix were able to make up for the slight deficit from the first half by securing a 9:6 finish upon the end of the map, landing a close 16:14 win.

Mirage was next, where things were initially looking rather bleak for GODSENT if the first half score was anything to go by. HellRaisers successfully commence their CT side of the map as the team went on to secure a triple round surplus at the end of the first half. GODSENT are faced with a 6:9 deficit going into the CT side of the map. This proved to be no issue as the team felt quite comfortable on the defence. A stellar showing from the Swedes accounted for a 10:4 second half and ultimately a 16:13 score line at the end of it, pushing the series to the third, and final map.

De_Cache would decide which team would go with $15,000 less than they could go home with. GODSENT kick off on the terrorist side, demonstrating the shear individual capabilities of all players on the roster. Rounds went consistently in favour of the Swedes, causing worries for the European roster. A staggering 11:4 half in favour of GODSENT meant that HellRaisers would have to play their hearts out in order to secure a victory on the map. The European mix definitely delivered on said promise; however it proved insufficient when reassessing the deficit they were left at the end of the first half. GODSENT's early dominance had contributed greatly to the final score, where it didn't matter that HellRaisers secured a whopping ten rounds, for the Swedes needed but five to secure the victory. An incredibly close 16:14 in favour of GODSENT brand the team Champions of the EU Minor Championship.
