WCA World Contest Championship commences

The WCA World Contest Championship will commence this evening, as nine teams from across the world will be pitted against each other in hopes of securing a $112,000 prize pool.

The WCA World Contest Championship features a total of nine teams from Russia, China and the United Kingdom. The LAN event is held in Beijing, China and boasts an aggregate $112,000 prize pool. Matches will be played out over the course of seven days, with the finals held on the 19th of October. 

Below you will find a list of teams brought by each country:

The group stage of the event will feature aforementioned teams, where each one will play a minimum of six best-of-one matches. To decide which two countries move forward, two additional matches will be played by the runners up. Once both countries are established the event hits the playoffs, seven matches will take place, the victor of which will be walking away with $45,000 of the prize pool.
