The Poles will seek to continue their momentum from their victory at ELEAGUE Season 1 throughout the fall and into November’s tournament.

IEM Oakland will take place at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on the weekend of November 19th and will feature twelve teams, 8 of which have yet to be announced. Additionally, IEM Oakland will use the following format, which is identical to IEM Katowice:

Virtus.Pro struggled during the latter half of 2015 and during the first half of 2016, only managing to win two LANs in the past ten months - the StarLadder i-League Invitational #1 and the CEVO Season 8 Professional Finals. The Poles managed to maintain a top ten ranking just out of the top 5, but their most recent win, and possibly the most impressive ever against an in-form Fnatic at ELEAGUE, gave them boost into the top three in the world. There are plenty of other offline tournaments between now and November, such as the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 in Nanjing and ESL One New York where Virtus.Pro will hopefully maintain their form ahead of this tournament.
