The fifth qualifier (third for Europe) is over and Team BOOM claims yet another thirty pointer. This time their opponent in the final was Gelati who earned themselves fifteen points.
There are no doubts on anyone's mind whether Brazilian teem BOOM will be qualifying for the finals or not; they will be there for sure. Now it seems they are just keeping their shape up by beating new opponents every week. They have only lost one match so far in the qualifiers which was the final match of the second qualifier, where Spade & His Incredible Team managed to take them down. Spade's team is doing well for themselves as well, currently having the second most points after BOOM.
Due to the nature of the tournament, beating out one qualifier might be enough to ensure a position in the finals, depending on how the other teams on a weekly basis. Currently after just under half the qualifiers played, the cut-off mark rests at eight points, anyone with less than is placed below top16. Obviously there are still seven qualifiers left so the cut-off mark will rise.
The next qualifier starts on Saturday (May 9th) at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT / 19 CEST and American teams will have the hosting advantage.
