Team Dignitas have reworked their team. Players have switched roles to replace those who have left and to make room for those that are joining.

Over the past few weeks and months, Dignitas have slowly but surely had to let go of their spot among the European top 3. They disappointed during the gamescom finals, and were not able to surprise much during the Overwatch Open. As such, Team Dignitas have decided to reform their team. Both Art1er and Numlocked have been released. To replace them, veterans and previous Ninjas with Attitudes players Veineless and Evokje have joined Dignitas on a trial basis.

The new roster has been seen playing in the Dreamhack Winter qualifiers. Due to the significant change in roster, the team appears to be trying out different role swaps. Draceus has moved from support to tank to replace Numlocked, while Veineless and evokje are currently trying out the support positions. The difference will be large, especially for Draceus as as tank requires a different form of thinking from support.

Team Dignitas’s roster currently stands as

  • Veineless
  • Evokje
  • Toxiken
  • Draceus
  • Bromas
  • Linkzr

So is this a good move? We will see.

It is obviously going to take a period to adjust, but as we saw with Misfits at the Overwatch Open, that adjustment period can sometimes be short. We believe Dignitas, backed by the reputation of the organization, will still remain a good competitor in the EU scene, but wonder whether it will require some more roster and role changes in the future.
