ESL bring their own expertise to a familiar format, reminiscent to Creation eSports’ King of the Watch. Today we see four teams battle it out in ESL’s very own King of the Hill.
ESL has been one of the big driving forces for the Overwatch competitive scene, supported by their years of experience. With their successful event (the Atlantic Showdown) reaching the end of its qualifiers, and the offline finals due to take place at gamescom, it seems they still have some steam left. Starting today they are hosting yet another tournament series:
ESL King of the Hill
- 5 PM PDT/ 8PM EST/ 2 AM CEST
- $1,000 prizepool for that week’s king
- 2 teams, 2 matches
- Twitch.tv/ESL
For the first series, four teams have been re-invited; coL, Selfless, Team Liquid and Sodipop. The teams were due to battle it out on Tuesday the 2nd, however ESL postponed the event till today. Further iterations will feature one invited team, one Go4 team and the reigning Kings of the Hill. We can expect healthy competition every tuesday hosted by ESL.
The Overwatch KOTH will happen after a similar Hearthstone KOTH, and so fans of both games are advised to tune in as early as 11 AM PDT every week for (about) double the entertainment.
