FaZe Clan, LG Evil and CLG were eliminated from the tournament today, while Team Liquid moves on to face either Selfless or Rogue in the Loser Bracket Final.

A few surprise heroes made an appearance tonight, as well as some top-tier DPS play and some interesting player choices that held a team's survival in the Overwatch Pit Championship in the balance. Miss anything? Don't worry, we've got your recap right here.

Counter Logic Gaming vs FaZe Clan - CLG wins, 2-0

The first game of the night started out on Lijang Tower. The first team fight lasted until CLG had 99 percent on Garden's point thanks to The, Hydration and Waffletastic using their ultimates in quick succession to keep FaZe from recapturing the point. Another Resurrection in the second teamfight of the map allowed CLG to take the map. The opposite start occured in Night Market, with FaZe taking the early lead. It was the Tracer show for this map, with Waffletastic getting a few more key Pulse Bomb sticks to allow his team the openings they needed to take the second round of Lijang.

Once we arrived there, it was the battle of the Roadhogs for Control Tower, with FaZe's Mikeya starting off with a double kill that allowed FaZe the early lead in the round. Waffletastic, now on the Hog, once again came in huge for his team on multiple occasions, including a clutch hook on ShaDowBurn to have his Tracer die by his own Pulse Bomb. It was those sort of plays that allowed CLG to sweep Lijang, 3-0.

Route 66 once again brought Forsak3n's Torbjorn onto the scene. It wasn't as effective as it was yesterday, however, with Hydration able to shut FaZe down through the first and second points of the map. Hydration proved that he wasn't a one-trick pony (well, Pharah) and hopped onto Genji for the last leg of the map, getting a triple kill to complete the push for CLG in Overtime. Zombs was FaZe's hero when they needed him to be - getting a few key double and triple kills that opened up the map for FaZe - but all in all, it was the team's playing well that allowed FaZe to get through most of CLG's defenses to also complete the map in Overtime.

It was a triple kill Self-Destruct from Miso that allowed his team to hold off FaZe long enough to secure Route 66 - and the game - for CLG, 2-0.

LG Evil vs Team Liquid - Team Liquid wins, 1-2

The second match of the night started off on Nepal's Sanctum, which went to Liquid with little trouble. LG Evil fought back on Village, being able to take the second round as easily as Liquid took the first. LG Evil almost retook Shrine, but ID and AZK came alive to get the double kills needed to keep Evil at bay and give them the round. Village was Train's territory, with his Tracer being able to overcome a clutch resurrect from Dahang to allow Evil to tie up the map. The final round took place on Shrine, where a misplay from Super allowed Liquid the early first dibs as well as some extra ultimate charge, which came back to bite Evil in the next fight. Evil eventually took control and managed to get to 43% before Liquid came back to reclaim what was theres, winning the point and Nepal by a score of 2-3.

Lijang Tower saw play again, with LG Evil denying a Ressurection retake and controlling the point almost the entire time. With Garden secured, Evil used that momentum to take first capture on Night Market. It took three ultimates for Liquid to capture the point for the first time, which Evil was able to capitalize on by using two of their four available ultimates to team kill Liquid. Rob420's Transcendance assured another team kill on Liquid and allowed Evil to capture Night Market. Super redeemed himself from his Shrine misplay earlier in the match by using his Primal Rage to keep Mesr from stalling on the point, forcing Mesr off of it long enough for Overtime to run out and allow LG Evil to sweep Liquid on Lijang, 3-0.

Route 66 has played host to surprise, uncommon heroes throughout the tournament, and once again it did not disappoint. Liquid pushed to the first point quickly, thanks in part to ID's superb Widowmaker play and Shadder2K once again going off as Genji. They were easily able to overpower Evil on most of the map, resulting in Evil taking the third map on 2:47. ID decided to pick up another uncommon hero, Sombra, to start off the first part of the map. He had his EMP up within the first minute of the match, which quickly snowballed into a multi-kill fight for Shadder2K and AZK. No matter what Evil tried, they couldn't stop Liquid, resulting in Liquid taking Route 66 and the series, having surprsingly swept LG Evil on Route 66.

CLG vs Team Liquid - Team Liquid wins, 0-2.

Liquid was able to capture Hanamura with two minutes on the clock, allowing the team over six minutes to capture the second point. ID's Widowmaker once again made an appearance, though she wasn't as effective thanks to Hydration's Genji targeting her. Hydration consistently kept CLG's defense strong, getting mutliple kills with and without his Dragon Blade to keep CLG stalling for as long as possible. The stall game for CLG was strong, but evertually Liquid was able to take the round with 1:45 left on the clock. CLG was then able to speedrun both points; iShiny led the charge (literally, as Reinhardt) and then helped Waffletastic deny Shadder2K any stalling opprotunity to complete the map wiith 3:46 on the clock and forcing Hanamura into Overtime.

In Overtime, Liquid was able to capture the first point with their 1:45 but was only able to get .5% on the second point before Liquid held them. Though Liquid stalled long enough for CLG to go into Overtime on the first point, they eventually failed to capture that first point and conceded the match to Liquid, 2-3.

Nepal's Shrine was next, with CLG getting the first successful push of the map to start the charge. They didn't lose a fight until they were in Overtime, when CLG started their first push. Liquid was able to answer back and bring Shrine to Overtime for them instead, and after Dahang and The had a Ressurection a piece, it was AZK's triple kill that bought Liquid the kills it needed to successfuly reverse sweep CLG on Shrine.

A nice Bio Gernade - Graviton Surge from Dahang and AZK wasn't enough to keep CLG at bay on Sanctum, with Hydration and iShiny hogging and swinging their way to victory for CLG. Liquid was able to bounce back on Village, though, to take a 1-2 lead and have map and match point on Shrine. AZK went wild on Shrine, with ID and Shadder2K able to clean up what few heroes he left behind to keep CLG out of the map until Liquid was in Overtime. The pressure was on for CLG, who needed to go from 0 to 100 on the point without dropping a single fight to keep their hopes of moving on in the tournament alive. Hydration went down immediately after The popped the Resurrection, resulting in Shadder2K delivering the final blow to hold the point in Liquid's favor and win the match.

And with that, FaZe, LG Evil and CLG have been eliminated from the Overwatch Pit Championship and Team Liquid will move on to face either Selfless or Rogue - depending on who loses the NA Winner's Bracket Finals.
