More and more organizations are entering Overwatch, and we are happy to share the good news. Graviton Surge has been picked up by Misfits.

The beauty about the current phase of Overwatch, is that the scene continues to grow at a healthy pace. While we do have clear top tier teams, there is still more than enough opportunity for dedicated players as well as organizations to succeed.

A  month ago we wrote about Graviton Surge, a team built around and by top player Kryw. Since then, they have been performing well in both LAN events (TakeTV) and online tournaments. Their hard work and consistency paid of earlier this week, when Misfits acquired the full roster:

  General Manager Ali "Alicus" Saba told GosuGamers that Misfits had been looking at Overwatch for a while: 
”I started following it some weeks ago, the explosive growth was really impressive. Wouldn't say we were close to picking up a team, but we have certainly been in talks with a few of the top teams, obviously. I do my research very well. The goals are simple: To support this line up in every way we can, and compete at the highest level. If this means we fly to partake in international tournaments, so be it. If it's a worthwhile tournament, we'll certainly be there, and we'll be there to win it. I'm ecstatic, this is the team that I wanted. Really pumped to see how far we make it together.”   Players Skipjack and Zebbosai shared their thoughts on their new home, and the future of the team:   How important was getting signed to a team for you?   Zebbosai: It means everything, This enables us to just put all our focus towards the game and keep improving as a team.   Skipjack: I think having a great organization backing you, while you are allowed as a player to focus solely on the game feels almost necessary at some point. We don't need to worry about any organizational or managerial problems, while getting all the support we need to become better players and a better team.   Graviton Surge probably got multiple offers, why did you decide on Misfits?   Skipjack: We were looking for an organization that didn't only want AN Overwatch team, but an organization that wanted US. Misfits has been very clear about their trust in this roster and the potential they see in us.   Zebbosai: Misfits was the org that showed the most interest in our team and really believed in this lineup. Their staff is very experienced so we wont have to worry about anything other than just playing the game.   What are your goals as a team for the next months?   Skipjack: Our main goal of course is winning and we will do everything to enable us to do that. We know where our weak spots lie, so we will work on those and prove ourselves in all the big upcoming tournaments.   Zebbosai: Our primary goal is getting to gamescom and compete on the international scene. Other than that we just want to keep doing well online and win more online tournaments.   Misfits is currently playing in The Battle, and will play their next match for that on Tuesday.
