In this series from GosuGamers, we are going to introduce you to some of the best players that Overwatch has to offer. A lot of the current top players have competed at a high level in various other games and genres before joining the Overwatch scene. These player profiles aim to provide you with information on their previous competitive history (including team history) as well as a brief overview of the player's Overwatch preferences. Let's have a look at a group of FPS veterans now fighting in Overwatch: REUNITED.gg.
Gaming History
If you have been following the European FPS community for a while, Sergi “Winghaven” Torras will not be an unfamiliar name. Starting out twelve years ago, he played an array of games before discovering Overwatch: Soldier of Fortune II, Enemy Territory (which he played for around six years in total), Call of Duty 4, Brink, Firefall, Battlefield 3, and Battlefield 4. The Spaniard played competitively for a while, meeting many of his current teammates along the way, however things went downhill while playing BF4. “I lost a lot of motivation and I became a mediocre player,” Winghaven admits. After losing EMS One in Germany with Fnatic, he was already thinking about leaving the competitive scene and eventually was replaced in the team.
But that is not how Winghaven’s story ends. Two years have since passed and much has changed. Stronger than ever, the player has reflected on the past and learnt from it. When Overwatch came out, he felt the old spark come back to live and was immediately determined to be one of the best players around. Because of that, he did not hesitate a second to join REUNITED, after they had asked him to be their Reinhardt.

Winghaven is a core member of REUNITED.gg and their main tank player. He is especially gifted playing Reinhardt, protecting his team at all times. Being well aware of his role, he knows that mistakes on his side could easily cost a teamfight and thus focuses on perfecting his positioning. Being caught out of position could lead to losing a teamfight or even a game, which he wants to avoid at all costs. But Winghaven is more than just a meatshield, as he has proven in plenty of games. He knows extremely well went to use his charge or ultimate, in order to scatter the enemy team and open up the opportunity for the fraggers to take them down. McCree has his ultimate ready but the enemy Reinhardt is blocking any possible kills? No problem, Winghaven will charge in and get rid of that hurdle.
He is not fazed by the fact that his role is not the most glorious one, noting that it is more exciting to watch sick aim, reflexes and fraggers than support/tank players after all. But that does not mean Winghaven cannot deliver some amazing plays as well, as demonstrated in the highlight video below.
