In this series from GosuGamers, we are going to introduce you to some of the best players that Overwatch has to offer. A lot of the current top players have competed at a high level in various other games and genres before joining the Overwatch scene. These player profiles aim to provide you with information on their previous competitive history (including team history) as well as a brief overview of the player's Overwatch preferences. Let's have a look at world's best Overwatch team: IDDQD.

Gaming History

Chipshajen, like many other Support players, has a competitive background in the Moba scene. Particularly known for his time in Bloodline Champions, where he won the Dreamhack Winter as well as having a Top 3 finish in the Dreamhack Summer in 2011, he moved on from that game to try his hands at DotA 2. His most notable achievement in DotA 2 was winning the joinDOTA League Season 2, beating teams like Meet Your Makers and Virtus.Pro along the way.

After making the switch to Overwatch he teamed up with INTERNETHULK, ultimatively creating what has become the team we now know as IDDQD. Ever loyal, he declined the lure of creating a Swedish super team and thus allowed his team to get both TviQue and Mendokusaii on board, which ultimately made them the dominant outfit we know them as today.

Quickfire questions:
Zenyatta: DPS or Orbs? Both?

A great DPS player can make a bad team good, but a great Support can make a good team unbeatable. That line of thinking fits perfectly for Chipshajen. The hype around IDDQD, particularly in Twitch chat, is all about Mendokusaii and TviQue, but many believe the silent star player might actually be their support, Chipshajen. Widely regarded as the best Zenyatta player in the game, he can also produce near-perfect Mercy play, and some opponents of Chipshajen even believe he pulls the weight of two supports. Unlike some of his teammates, he comes across as very quiet, humble and somewhat reserved. His decision to play Support almost seems like a statement that he doesn't want or need the limelight.

Maybe once players as well as spectators get a better understanding of the deeper game mechanics people will appreciate Chipshajen for how good he really is.
