PUBG Mobile’s next update is a big one.

PUBG Mobile’s big new Version 4.0 update has gone live, giving players access to a ton of spooky Halloween-themed content, a Kaiju No. 8 collaboration, and more. This version update will run up to 4 November, 2025, but players will only have until 30 September, 2025 to try out the Kaiju No. 8 collab.

Spooky content comes to PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile is adding a new game mode called Spooky Soiree, available across the Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps. In this mode, players can team up with a paranormal companion named Ghostie, who can use various helpful abilities during a match. Eliminated players will also be turned into Prankster Ghosts, influencing the match for a finite amount of time.

Additionally, a new two-player Magic Broom vehicle is coming to the game, along with a new point of interest for Erangel and Livik called Wraithmoor Mansion. This haunted house will feature supernatural phenomena affecting players throughout their visit. This update also adds Scaredy Ghost object mimics, and a Performing Dead stage that hosts ghostly rock concerts.

Mid-Autumn has arrived

PUBG Mobile’s Version 4.0 update also adds unique themed locations and items themed after the Mid-Autumn Festival. This includes the Moonlight Festival Checkpoints, inclusive of Mid-Autumn Mooncakes. From 20 October to 2 November, the game is also adding a Day of Gathering Checkpoint with festive chocolate.

PUBG Mobile x Kaiju No. 8 collab details

Until 30 September 2025, players will be able to add character sets from Kaiju No. 8 to their collections, featuring unique idle animations. These characters are Kafka Hibino, Reno Ichikawa, Mina Ashiro, Kikoru Shinomiya, and Soshiro Hoshina.

Players can also transform to become Kaiju No. 8 themselves, and use a themed melee weapon and two firearms during battle. The collab also adds two lucky draw events and a prize path event, allowing players to unlock sets themed after the anime adaptation.

The Crazy Chicken Day will also allow players to earn extra rewards by climbing the leaderboards, while earning double likes, Synergy, and EXP.
