Lauma takes on more of a support role that boosts the damage from this reaction, while also increasing the damage for Hyperbloom and Burgeon.

Aino can be attaioned for free (Image: HoYoverse).

Aino, who is Ineffa’s creator and the genius inventor from the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, will be a four-star Hydro Claymore character. Her kit focuses on dealing off-field Hydro DMG to enemies, and acts as a reliable reactions trigger.

Flins will be a DPS character (Image: HoYoVerse).

Flins is a 5-star Electro polearm character from the Lightkeepers, and is the first official main DPS associated with Nod-Krai. He works best as an on-field damage dealer who thrives off of Lunar-Charged reactions.

Nod-Krai to feature new mechanics, content, and more

Genshin Impact is entering an all-new story arc with Nod-Krai, as every plot thread the game has introduced throughout its past versions are finally starting to tie together. As such, tons of new content will be added to the game with Version Luna I.

Nod-Krai is undergoing a power struggle as the Fatui, headed by the Harbinger Sandrone, code name Marionette, is trying to establish control over the island. The traveler makes their first stop in Nasha Town, the introductory base of operations that houses the Clink-Clank Krumkake workshop, where a new boss, the “Knuckle Duckle” will provide special materials that can be used by both Ineffa and Aino.

Entering the town will also introduce players to a new companion with its own special mechanics that will aid in exploration. Including a new type of energy called “Kuuvahki”.

By what the livestream revealed, “Kuuvahki” may be similar to Natlan’s Phlogiston, as it acts as a natural source of power for the land. “Kuuvakhi” can also be commanded by those from Nod-Krai thanks to their “Moon Wheel” visions. The Traveler will also be able to wield “Kuuvakhi”.

Another new area, Hiisii Island, is where players can find the Frostmoon Scions and in turn interact with Lauma, who is engaged in a stalemate with Sandrone. Sandrone has slowly started to take over the island in a bid to utilisie the “Khuuvaki” to create war machines--including a peculiar robot vacuum machine that players can use to go into secret areas within Sandrone's base of operations.

A new Archon Quest will be made available where players can invite Aino to join their party for free. The Archon Quest is set to introduce a new format for players, where the story quests of the characters will intertwine with the Archon Quest for maximum immersion. Additionally, hangout events will be redesigned to blend seamlessly with the overarching story of Nod-Krai through the use of “Meeting Points”.

Additionally, players can look forward to meeting new, yet-to-be-playable (confirmed or otherwise) characters like Nefer, Jahoda, and the Moon Maiden and former Fatui Harbinger, The Damselette. It is not known why the Damselette has separated from the Fatui Harbingers, but she is now worshipped as a god by the Frostmoon Scions, and it seems that players will also form an alliance with her.

Version Lunar I will feature some new events for players to look forward to, those being:

  • Clink Clank Clash

Local Legends will now be easier to challenge through the Valiant Chronicles permanent event. Players can issue challenges through Katheryne.
