Genshin Impact’s Traveler will no longer be voiceless

The news follows concerns over whether or not the English cast for Genshin Impact would return.
With the SAG-AFTRA video game acting strike finally over, fans of HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact remain in limbo. The voice actor work stoppage affecting HoYoverse’s titles was a collective work refusal independent of SAG-AFTRA, raising concerns about whether the striking actors will return now that the official strike has ended. Since HoYoverse is a non-union company, it isn’t obligated to meet the demands negotiated by SAG-AFTRA. Sean Chiplock, who voices Diluc, confirmed on a BlueSky post that there is no assurance that the cast strike is over.
Luckily for the fans however, two of the most integral characters to the game will get their voices back!
Zach Aguilar, Sarah Miller-Crews confirms Genshin Impact return as Traveler twins
Although tensions within the Genshin Impact community have yet to die down, a silver lining has come to give a bit of hope. Zach Aguilar, who voices main character Aether, has confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that he will be returning to Genshin Impact after Version 5.7. He followed this confirmation by thanking HoYoverse and the entire team, citing his excitement to continue with the role.
Following his tweet, Sarah Miller-Crews, who voices Aether’s twin, Lumine, also confirmed her return with a reply to his post, expressing her excitement about returning to the game.
Although it’s unfortunate that both Aguilar and Miller-Crews could not return to Version 5.7, which features a new Archon Quest centred around their characters, fans can expect to hear their voices in upcoming updates, and possibly even previous major quests they missed out on during the collective work refusal.
Aguilar and Miller-Crews’ return follows Erika Harlacher-Stone's, who voices Anemo Archon Venti, and also confirmed her return to the game with the upcoming Version 5.7.
