The ASUS Open series has been existing for quite a while. In one month the 15th tournament will kick off with both WarCraft and StarCraft as two of the official games. The previous tournament - ASUS Open Summer 2006 - was won by XyLigan for WarCraft 3 and White-Ra for StarCraft. Having players outside the post-Soviet nations is quite unusual, but last year we saw the Dutch player Rotterdam take part in the WarCraft tournament. With a prize pool of 100,000 rubels (~3,000€), is it enough to attract players outside Russia?

Total prize pool: 1,000,000 (~30,000€)Maximum players are 64 for each game. They have announced that they will host qualifier tournaments for Counter-Strike, but no such thing for the other games. The event takes place in the gaming center 4Game in Moscow at the 24th to 26th of November.
