In October some of the best players from around the world will meet in the city of Anaheim. Sixteen gamers will compete in both StarCraft and WarCraft III with hopes to bring the grand prize home.
Blizzard has just announced the cash prizes for the winners in the StarCraft and WarCraft III tournament. The 1st place winner of each tournament will receive a check of $10,000 along with a trophy. Also, the runner-up of each tournament will be given $3,000. These prizes are similar to what is given out to the winners of the World Cyber Games.
The eight competitors from each tournament have not yet been announced, but Blizzard promises to do so in the near future.
