FXOpen e-Sports has decided to disband its North American branch. FXO Korea will not be affected.

Almost a year after its creation FXO North America announced it would be disbanding. Modeling itself much like an academy the team was meant to give up and coming players the environment to hone their craft, and if they showed they were ready they would be able to join FXO Korea. It was stated that FXO NA did not have any funding so they could send players to any tournaments or events. In the official statement that was released today which can be found here it was stated that "all the funding went to FXO Korea since FXO Korea was a force to be reckoned with". Despite their best efforts to advertise the team, such as developing a new website and establishing a staff purely for public content.

It was stated that the team began going downhill in mid 2013 due to players going inactive or leaving FXO entirely. "By the end of July, our roster had significantly reduced down to about 9 players". Despite all of this the team was determined to keep itself alive, however when FXOpen e-Sports' CEO Daniel "Unstable" Siddel decided to resign, FXO NA's manger Seeker decided there was nothing else they could do and decided to disband the team. He has also stated that this will have no impact on FXO Korea and he will continue as a translator for FXO.
