Maru, MarineKing, ByuN and Creator - those were First's victim in today's GSTL as the IM Protoss pulled his team out of the bottom part of the bracket.

IM opened the series by putting Ragnarok first against Maru and right fromt he start the audience was treated to an unorthodox play. Opening with a triple nydus worms, Ragnarok invested heavily into planting tumors in front of Maru's natural, heavily containing him and delaying him from taking a fourth.

While cool and fresh (though not entirely unique) this was too costly a commitment by the Zerg and Maru was not so easily broken. Despite almost running out of money by the end, Maru was nonetheless able to survive for long enough to amass a healthy bio army and kite around Ragnarok's ultras towards extinction. Ragnarok's show failed and Prime took the first set.

Taking the first set, however, was the only win Prime could take today as with the fall of Ragnarok came the rise of First. After killing Maru with well controlled oracles, the IEM Katowice champion went through the usual Terran line-up of Prime to seal out the series.

Second to fall after Maru was the grand name of MarineKing who, to Prime's fans' disappointment, was way out shape. After a blunt and brutal manhandling, MKP had to step out of the booth and swap places with ByuN but he too ended up eviscerated in the ugliest of ways. Although falling a bit behind in the early stages, First engineered an epic sequence of zealot harassments, storm flanks and snipes on enemy's ghosts to beat the Terran bloody, putting IM to 3-1 in score. A short and equally one-sided PvP agaisnt Creator closed the curtains and Prime were shoved in the very bottom of the table.

GSTL continues tomorrow as the joint roster of Axiom-Acer is pitted against the Azubu. Opening game is Bboong vs Scarlett.
