Happy had lost 0-2 to Lucifron in the Round of 32 and was craving to return the favor, if it was only his brother he was harming. In both games, Vortix went at Happy with the power of the entire Zerg arsenal, trying to break him with overwhelming numbers. And in both cases, the Russian was like a brick wall - unyielding and defending with such perfection that Vrotix's numbers counted for nothing. The scenario and outcome in both games was strikingly similar. Vortix would throw swarms of units at Happy only to see them fail. More and more units would be sent but they to would do nothing as if pain was nothing to the Russian. Then, a medivac drop would be initiated that would clean up Vortix's entire tech and economy, forcing him either into an all in, or into a base race. The Spaniard won neither of those.
The beginning of the end- Vortix assaulting Happy's third while dying to a marine drop in the meantime BabyKnight, too, thought Happy is an easy prey and threw a warpgate attack in game one and a blink timing in game two, only to suffer the same fate as Vortix - Happy held more then decently, picked up a few marines into a medivac, flew them across the map and won the game. BABYKNIGHT RECOVERS, SENDS VORTIX OUT While snatching Naniwa's next was a convincing display of power, the Na`Vi Protoss almost tasted elimination in the final series. A standard double evolution opening by Vortix put him just one game away from elimination and BabyKnight had to summon every strength he had in him to survive. A clutch 3-base blink stalker timing put the scales back to even but Vortix had a few tricks up his sleeves and the Spaniard opened game three with hiding his spire out of his base and away from the usual scouting patterns. This allowed for a surprise mutalisk raid but after its end, Vortix would be more baffled than BabyKnight. Through a stellar defense, the Dane held his ground and barely suffered economy damage. From there, a handful of phoenixes were added to support the already heavy on anti-air archon/stalker army and BabyKnight just walked out to crush necks. A few head-to-head engagemens broke out before the Protoss could reach his opponent's side of the map but once he arrived, lights went out for Vortix. BabyKnight's blink timing hits before Vortix's infestors and roaches reach critical numbers
