Just a couple of minutes after QsQ had lost in the Lower Bracket of the DreamHack Summer Qualifier, the team announced it's disbanding. Therefor five talented players are back on the market, but one big team disappears.
The news might have caught a lot of people in the scene off guard, but for QsQ it was already made prior to the actual qualifier. Just minutes after QsQ got eliminated from the DreamHack Summer contention by Justice League, Jungler Malle announced the disbandment on Facebook. According to Malle the decision was already made, everyone in the team agreed that it is either this DreamHack or nothing and so the decision was not filled with rage or emotions after the surprise exit of the squad.
Malle on the QsQ situationIm sad to announce that QsQ has disbanded. It was not a rage filled emotional decision after the results of our last two series, we had discussed it prior and everyone agreed that we wont wait around for a next chance any longer; it was DH or the end. Im happy that we ended it with a collective decision without any drama and hard feelings. Thank you to all our supporters and im sorry we couldnt live up to our potential and deliver.

The QsQ program was originally started by NoVa when he returned to HoN after leaving his old team fnatic. He used Q sQuad as a scouting and practice program with the target of turning regular pubstars into good competitive players. For his own team he chose Style, Malle, Jonassomfan and NoX, four players that had been around in the scene more or less before. QsQ joined several tournaments, progressively getting better and better. In their first real big appearance, the DreamHack Online Summer Championship, they reached the playoffs, in the DreamHoN Redemption tournament they managed to win their first playoff matches - only to qualify for DreamHack Winter 2012 through the Destination DreamHoN tournament. The team also played themselves into the Diamond Division right off the bat, placed consistently high in the early cycles, but the success was more and more fading away. Big results didn't happen, they even dropped down to the Gold Division after Cycle 7 - a low point on their record. Now the chapter of QsQ in HoN is over with all five teams agreeing to part ways.
NoVa's view about QsQ disbandingThere is no good way to put it so I will be straightforward:
Q sQuad 357 disbands today after sticking together for eight months. We were known as an extremely incosistent team with immense potential that almost made it several times but 'almost' unfortunately doesn't cut it.
Q sQuad will also always be known for having one of the if not THE best fanbase in Heroes of Newerth and we were fully aware of that throughout our journey. Without our faithful and amazingly supportive fans we would've called quits long ago, I am sure.
We talked about this possibility before the Dreamhack qualifier and agreed upon it shortly after today's loss vs [DCx].
Noone in the team regrets the time we spent together, the experiences we made, the talks we had with you guys and girls and the placements we reached. We don't doubt that our individual skill was up to par as all of you can remember many big plays from anyone in the team along the road - however, the team just never completely worked as a unit. Outside the game, yes - inside, unfortunately not. Nor did we feel a steady and quick improvement as we repeated very old mistakes over and over again.
The future of our sQuad's players is not determined yet. Some might retire, others stick around within eSports or HoN specifically. Personally I will be on a festival until Tuesday which should be a good time to rethink my future goals and let you know on the day of my return. Maybe I will stay around as well? We shall see.
I just want to thank you and my teammates..
It has been a pleasure playing with them and for our fans.
It has been a pleasure fighting for you.
And I will always have good memories about this time.

The future of the highly skilled players will be determined in the near future with HoN Tour Season 2 right around the corner, but the chances to play in the HoN World Championship in Jönköping, Sweden are gone for all of them.
