SKT T1 finishes on top of Group B with dominating showings, while Anexis completely surprised everyone with their run.
Group B was one that had big and small surprises in every game. The largest happened when Anexis came out of the group stages and took out SK Gaming, SKT T1, and MYM in their first three games. Anexis finally met their match when they met up with Korean power house CJ Entus Frost to end that winstreak.
While Anexis came out making headlines with their first three games, fan favorite Evil Geniuses came out of Super Week of LCS with three consecutive losses. However even with these losses EG wasn't going to allow rival team SK Gaming to advance either. With SK in arms reach of placing third, EG did everything they could to prevent them from moving forward, giving EG their first win of the tournament and concluding SK and EG's dreams of going forward. MYM also let their chance slip by when they were defeated by SKT T1.
SKT T1 and CJ Entus Frost showed that the Koreans are still dominant in this side of the world. Escaping first and second respectively in Group B these two teams had the record of 4-1. Shy of CJ Frost continued to show the world how dominant he was with Singed in 3 of the 5 games, with only one Singed ban in those five games. Expect teams to ban Shy's Singed in the following days. SKT T1 and SK Gaming also provided fans with the most action packed game with over 20 kills by the 14 minute mark.
With the Playoffs beginning in less than 24 hours tune in to CJ Frost vs Millineum will begin at 9:30 CET, followed by CJ Blaze vs Anexis. Tune in tommorow for some great matches and to see if these European teams could hold off the Koreans. With three teams remaining for both Europe and Korea only one team can take the grand prize.
