DotaTalk will be hosting the AMD Dota 2 Premier League with a total cash prize of $5,000. The regional qualifiers are set to begin on the 15th of April.

After much success with GEST and DotaTalk League, DotaTalk will be hosting the AMD Dota 2 Premier League, a South East Asian tournament boasting a cash prize of $5,000.

The tournament has been split into three parts with an open qualifiers to begin on the 15th of April. More details of the tournament format is as below.

Format:

Qualifiers

Seven qualifiers will be held for teams all over Asia to which a certain number of teams from each qualifiers will go through to the regional finals. The qualifiers and number of team qualifying are as below:

15th April - Philippines, Brunei (4)
15th April - Malaysia (4)
22nd April - Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand (4)
22nd April - West Asia (3)
29th April - Singapore, Indonesia (4)
29th April - Oceanic (2)
29th April - East Asia (3)



Regional final (4th of May)

24 teams will play in a groupstage. The teams will be separated into four groups of six. The top two from each group will qualify to the main event.



Main event (8th of May)

Separated into groupstage and playoffs. Eight qualified teams from the regional final will meet eight invited teams in the 2x8 groupstage. The top four of each group will qualify into the winner bracket of the playoffs while the bottom four will be seeded into the lower bracket. The invited teams have yet to be disclosed.
