The rivalry kicked off once again with TSM still showing dominance and defeating Counter Logic Gaming decisively in week 7.
The beginning of the game starts out very promising with Counter Logic Gaming applying massive amounts of pressure and sending 3 people to take out middle. While they didn't take it out, the pressure they applied adequately split TSM and allowed for a lot of free damage placed onto their structures.
5 turrets were down by the 12 minute mark.
While Counter Logic Gaming's tower siege strategy worked beautifully, it was not something that would persist for the entire game. Even though Counter Logic Gaming had a massive tower advantage, it would not be a CLG game unless they threw a game in the bag out the window from a poorly executed wrong. TSM would take intelligent advantage against a premature baron fight from Counter Logic Gaming's side.
Once Counter Logic Gaming began contesting the baron arena, Team Solomid knew this was their opportunity and managed to pull off a brilliant ace. After that, the game flip-flopped one hundred percent like a pancake. Though Doublelift was quite fed and Over 100CS ahead of Wildturtle and adequately protected by his team, he himself was not enough of a threat to burn TSM down after they seized their two inhibitor advantage. The rivalry ends once again with Solomid reigning supreme.
CLG continues to be on a negative win streak looking to be passed up by Vulcun Command at this rate while TSM soars to the top of the charts. Counter Logic Gaming, while having a stronger presence early game, has still shown they need a lot of work in late game team cohesion, whereas TSM's synergy snapped together perfectly with their new AD carry as they proceed on to march towards further domination with their 4 win streak.
