VortiX takes the crown and $15,325 in prize money. The younger half of the Moreno Brothers finished the tournament without a single map loss, even until the final against Snute.
THOR Open, a new franchise sponsored by some of the biggest companies in the computer industry, went heavily in favor of Juan "VortiX" Duran Moreno as he pummeled through everyone not only unbeaten, but without a single maploss. His group including Snute, PoYo and Ourk was no match for the Spaniard and neither was Bischu in the Semifinals and once again Snute in the overall final.
After being extremely dominant in the first two maps, a last-ditch effort with the help of an in-base Nydus worm made up for failed early aggression. The sneak attack caught Snute, despite being far ahead, by absolute surprise and turned the final map of the tournament into VortiX' favor.
The third place match between Bischu and Nerchio was won by the Polish Zerg in a 2:1 series. VortiX takes home $15,325, Snute will receive $3,070 and Nerchio is given $1,530. Bischu, even though he took a strong fourth place, gets sent home empty-handed.
