The third and final season of the Global StarCraft 2 Team League in 2012 comes to an end and finds its deserving winner in FXOpen. MVP was off to a good start until GuMiho powered through.
Even though the individual players of FXOpen have been behind their own and probably everyone else’s expectations this year, the premier team league was in FXO’s hands from the get go. After falling to the eventual champions Prime in Season 1 for a third place finish and completely annihilating SlayerS-EG in Season 2 to take their first GSTL championship in 2012. Now they repeated that feat by towering over MVP in the last final of the year. Things were equal from the start when Vampire opened the match by winning over TheBest but FXO always managed to pull back. It all came down to GuMiho, the fourth player to be sent out by the champions to finish Monster, KeeN and Sniper to take his team to 5-3 victory.
