The German ESL Pro Series found this season’s champion in monchi, who managed to beat his teammate XlorD of XMG. Socke takes third after beating HasuObs in the bronze final.

After an exciting and very close grand final Philipp "monchi" Simon managed to best his fellow XMG player Daniel "XlorD" Spenst in 3:2 series after coming back from being down 2:1 to take home €3,000. This is the third good tournament for the Austrian after taking a shared 3rd place at DreamHack Winter and winning the IeSF World Championship recently. The former WarCraft 3 player XlorD missed his chance at his first major victory since turning full time pro in June.

The third-place match saw the two German fan favorites Socke and HasuObs going head-to-head. After losing an hour long opening game on Whirlwind, Socke managed to prevail 3:1.
