After four incredible days of competition, IPL crowns its fifth champion. FXO Zerg Dong Nyoung "Leenock" Lee excelled over everyone and snatched the meaty $40,000 purse.
15-2 was Leenock's score before going into the grand final, having defeated notable contenders such as Life, TheSTC, Xigua, Polt and Violet, the last of which in the winners bracket final. Violet himself would end up playing the last terran in the tournament TSL Polt in the LB final and bounced back after a jading, five-map series.
Coming into the closing match, Violet was fighting against Leenock's WB winner's advantage but after another back and forth face-off, he managed to win the Best of 5 and push the series into a final Best of 3. Not fancying the prospect of losing a second ZvZ final in a row, however, the "Leenocktopus" held his ground and was ultimately crowned winner with 2-1 in the closing series and having played all eight grand final matches.
